I've had a dreadful run of shifts this week. I did nights last weekend, and had all very sick patients (including the largest aortic dissection I've ever seen/heard of - or, more impressively, that the reg had ever seen or heard of). Getting used to working in the ED - I don't dread my shifts anymore, so that's a definite good thing! I've had a few good shifts lately, and seem to have gotten over my weird unable-to-cannulate mental block so that's helped a lot (I don't have to ask someone else to help me all the time anymore - phew!). So after about five minutes of googling, I found a taekwondo centre that will not only honour Neil's black belt, but also takes adult beginners... So this Monday I'm going with Neil to try my first ever martial arts class.

I was really looking forward to moving in with Neil again - things were going really well, we were really happy, had just been enjoying each other's company without having any problems or fighting. Exhausted...

Moved into new place Sunday - we have power but hardly any furniture, missing basically the entire contents of a kitchen & don't have a fridge. Fun times all around. Hoping we'll get the fridge soon so we can buy some groceries and have some food in the house.

Took my car for a service - ended up costing $2000 to fix up things! I'm so annoyed because it's completely thrown my budget out of whack...
